Meetings with decision makers beyond the personal network

PR and communications agency In Nomine wanted to reach companies beyond its existing personal network. Board member and consultant Heikki Sal-Saller describes the Myralum pilot and what happened after the first meetings.

Most clients came through personal contacts. Lead generation happened alongside other work, and the agency needed to look beyond that familiar network.

The first email wave did not lead to meetings, so we changed the approach: personal 15-minute calendar invitations went out in Heikki’s name, each built on one verified fact about the recipient’s company. We handled the replies, the scheduling and a call list.

The pilot led to three confirmed meetings, with two more booked. Heikki says four of the five meetings were with decision makers, and one company invited the agency to a further meeting.

What happens next

The service opened conversations with new companies. Turning those conversations into clients still takes the agency’s own time, follow-up and sales work.

Customer-reported pilot results. Five meetings does not mean five paying clients. Further conversations and hoped-for future work were not signed sales at the time of the interview.

“The meetings really happened. The quality was very good.”
